About this vehicle
When Ferruccio Lamborghini entered the car making business, he had a soft spot for well-engineered, high-powered, comfortable grand-touring cars, hence the first editions from Lamborghini—the 350GT and 400GT. While these were handsome and impressive cars, it was the radically styled two-seat Miura that largely put Lamborghini on the map and impressed the point that the company meant business in the supercar industry. Interestingly, for such a new company, Lamborghini largely defined the term supercar with the Countach, the car upon which seemingly all subsequent Lamborghini flagship models have been based, with a longitudinally positioned V-12 engine behind the driver, a short front end all brought together by hand.
