About this vehicle

Utilizing a lightweight and ultra-rigid, racing-style, carbon fiber monocoque chassis as the foundation of the Aventador, Lamborghini mated it with an entirely new, 60-degree 6.5L V-12 engine that produced 690 HP at 8,250 RPM and a neck-snapping 509 lb-ft of torque at 5,500 RPM. All of this power and torque was then fed through a 7-speed, automated manual transmission with a computer-controlled, single-plate clutch to give the Aventador lightning-fast shifts that took just 50 milliseconds to complete. Finally, all this motive force was then fed through a Haldex Traction all-wheel drive system that enabled the Aventador to rocket from 0-60 MPH in an astonishing 2.9 seconds and reach an independently confirmed terminal velocity of 220 MPH.
